He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Ackerman and Violet Ackerman; his wife Renee; and his children, Frederick J. Ackerman of Doylestown, PA, Christopher C. Ackerman of Mountville, PA, William B. Ackerman and Alison D. Ackerman Driver of Ocean City, MD.. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Church (654 Hatboro Rd, Richboro, PA 18954). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the George Washington Memorial Park (100 Stenton Ave, Blue Bell, PA 19462).
