Barbara V. Souders Obituary
We announce the death of Barbara V. Souders of Jackson, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 78. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Kjar and Marianne Kjar (Merring); her daughter-in-law Amy VanBuskirk; and her brother-in-law Ted Fehr. She is survived by: her husband Milton R. Souders of Stroudsburg; her children, William VanBuskirk of Bartonsville, Steven VanBuskirk of Sciota, Christina Miller (Cal) of East Stroudsburg and Samara Morin (Mike); her grandchildren, Samantha George (Justin), Christopher Van Buskirk (Elisa), Robert Farris (Kimberly) and Aleshia VanBuskirk; her great grandchildren, Weston Kijewski, Nicole Farris, Maycee George and Charles George; her siblings, Kathleen Leiss (Richard) of Swiftwater, Carol Fehr of Stroudsburg and Timothy Kjar of Saylorsburg; and her pet Katie. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (1426 US-209, Gilbert, PA 18331). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
