John Lican Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Lican of James City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 2, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Lican and Rose Lican (Mishic); his grandsons, Matthew and Scott Burton; and his siblings, Patricia Bouch and Anthony F. Lican.

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Vibbert; his children, Cheryl Burton (Paul) of James City, Lynda Nelson of James City and John Lican (Linda) of James City; his grandchildren, Paul Burton III of James City, Sara Timpano (Steve) of Saxonburg, Jessie Bond (Eric) of Kane, Kyle Nelson of Indianapolis and Amanda Lican of Kane; his great grandchildren, Ava, Lucas Bond, Hudson, Bennett, Emersyn Timpano, Bryce, Elijah Lican and Mason Lundberg; and his brother Joseph Lican (Mary) of Erie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to Trail Association of McKean/Elk Divide (TAMED), PO Box 326 Kane, PA 16735 or the Kane Area Revitalization Enterprise (KARE) to help build the "Children's Museum" at the Passive House in Kane, 54 Fraley St. Kane, PA 16735.
