With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frederick G. Holzapfel (Jamestown, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Frederick departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Frederick may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Frederick leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred K. Holzapfel and Rosemary Holzapfel (Hoovler); his son Shawn Holzapfel; and his sisters, Pamela Ser and Theresa Holzapfel.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores P. Peden; his children, Jeannie Carey (Tom) of Clarks Mills and Rodney Holzapfel (Bonnie) of Kinsman, OH; and his siblings, Priscilla Deter of Greenville, Carolyn Nelson of Mercer and Roy Holzapfel (Jessie) of Hadley. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
