He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Thurber and Winifred M. Thurber (Kohler); his granddaughter Polina Wright; his siblings, Mary Ellen Thurber, Jeannie Hunt, Gordon, George and Merle Thurber; and his daughter-in-law Amy Thurber.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Wright (Jon) of Floral City, FL and Jeff Thurber of Jamestown; his brother Si Thurber (Rosemarie) of Greenville; and his grandchildren, Christina Thurber, Alex Thurber (Samantha), Rebecca Baker (Jacob), Benjamin Wright (Maddy), Greg Wright, Gabby Fenske (Erin) and Julia Dawson (Dalton). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
