She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Amato (Fred) and Catherine Amato (Senchak); her spouse Alois Gaston; and her brother Alfred A. Amato. She is survived by: her children, Lorraine Schmidt (late Charles) of Rock Hill, SC, Gary Gaston (late Carmela) of Tarentum, PA, Mark Gaston (Sharon) of Frazer Township, PA and Natalie Gaston of Jefferson Hills, PA; her grandchildren, Katie Caskey (Tyler), Kara Schmidt, Mary Elizabeth Gaston, Joshua Gaston (Madison), Emily Gaston and Ashleigh Solomon (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Victoria Schmidt, Carson Caskey, Kadyn Caskey, Si Caskey, Rylie Solomon, Dylan Solomon, Elliott Solomon, Logan Gaston, Lyla Gaston and Lily Gaston; her caregiver Allegheny Valley Hospital; her uncle Nick; Kathy Toscolani of Lower Burrell. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. (347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, PA 15084). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
