He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Judge John T. McCormick and Lucy McCormick (Boyle); his brothers, John and James; his wife Frances Rice (Rice) of Jenkins Twp; and his sister O. P. (Eileen Sickinger) of Croton, NY. He was also cherished by sixteen nephews and nieces, and many grand-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home (89 Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Nicholas St. Mary Parish (226 S Washington St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701).
He held managerial positions with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (NJ Chapter), United Neighborhood Houses (NYC), and the New Jersey Regional Drug Abuse Agency.
