He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander "George" Niemiec and Maybelle Wolford; his wife Bonnie Sweigart; and his siblings, Stella, Sarah Niemiec, Carl, Clair and Stanley Niemiec.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Marie E. Needham (Matthew) of Mechanicsburg, Susan E. Severino of Jersey Shore and Samuel D. Lehman of Jersey Shore; his grandchildren, Samantha Lehman, Sophie Severino, Eric Lehman, Elizabeth Severino and Trent Severino; his son-in-law Richard Severino of Jersey Shore; and his siblings, Virginia Blair of Ohio, Matilda Beck (Carl) of Loganton, Rose McCloskey of Dunnstown, Doris McCollum (Ron) of Pottsgrove and Clifford Niemiec (Cindy) of Oval. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
