He was predeceased by: his parents, Amelia Melinda Empfield (Chick) and Roy Orbin Empfield; his sister Jo'an Settlemyer; his brothers-in-law, Raymond Koerber and Kenneth Settlemyer; and his nephew Timothy Settlemyer.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Matthew, Bethany, Lindsay, Keirstyn, Jennifer, Kimberly, Catherine and Alex; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Max and Danielle; his wife Ethel; his children, James (Martha), Jeffrey (Ann) and Janna (Terry); his sister Roian Koerber; and his nieces and nephews, Jackie, Roian, Raymond, Roger, Ronald, Kenneth and Jon.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Covenant United Methodist Church (44 W Main St, Lock Haven, PA 17745). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Jersey Shore or Lock Haven Shoe Banks in Chick's memory.
