It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elery Dougherty of Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 27, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Elery leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his wife Hilda Sainsbury; his parents, Lola Sprague Dougherty Phlegor and Howard Dougherty; his siblings, Lavern Dougherty and Fledabelle Cohick; and his daughters-in-law, Kim Dougherty and Denise Dougherty.

He is survived by: his sons, John Dougherty, Richard Dougherty (Diane) and Howard Dougherty; and his brother Kenneth (Robert Dougherty). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
