He was predeceased by : his wife Hazel Sharp (Cannon); his parents, Forrest Sharp and Eva Sharp; and his son William Sharp. He is survived by : his children, Phyllis McMaster (Sharp) and John Sharp; and his grandchildren, Robert McMaster (Debra), Christopher McMaster, Holly Walsh (John) and John Brooks Sharp. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
