Amelia L. Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Amelia L. Smith of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Alva and Pasquala Alva (Ramirez); her daughter Valerie Jean Schmalz; her siblings, Robert Alva, Elizabeth Mack and Eleanor Valadze; her great grandchildren, Dominick Hall, Tre Hall, Orahnde Askew, Nichol Dugan and Syrina Raneri; her son-in-law Tom Billetdeaux; and her pet Buster.
She is survived by:, Denise, Chrisinda, Craig Berry, Felise Robertson, Jerry Istvan, Glenn M. Wagner (Sherry), Anisha Stephens, Amy Lynn Hall (Rodney) and Deloris Barto. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the John Henderson Company Funeral Home (215 Central Ave, Johnstown, PA 15902). A reception will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
