He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hovanec and Mary Hovanec (Mihalcin); his son Andrew Hovanec Jr.; and his siblings, Helen Machowski, Mary Loncella, Martha Waskovich, Anna Cicon, Margaret Hovanec, John Hovanec, Joseph Hovanec and Stephen Hovanec.
He is survived by: his children, John M. Hovanec (Kimberly), James Hovanec (Veronica), Maryann Manery (Ricky), Suzanne Hovanec and Thomas Hovanec (Renee). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
