She was predeceased by: her parents, James O. Smith and Agnes Smith (Thiel); her daughter Hope Gordon; and her sister Collene Maroco. She is survived by: her children, Samantha Gordon, Travis Dowling and Joseph Dowling. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
