Barbara touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schmidt and June Schmidt (Coffman); her half-brother Alan Coffman; and her brother-in-law Terry Cahill. She is survived by: her husband Ernest Louis Petersen, III; her siblings, Brenda Maser Pittsburgh (Ronald), Billie Cahill, San Diego and Terry Schmidt (Ling); her children, Margo Baumann (Dustin) of Pensacola, FL, Rachel Vucic (Michael) of Lancaster, PA and Elijah Petersen; and her grandchildren, Connor, Jake, Kate, Anna, Oliva, Evan and Maia.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John Henderson Company Funeral Home (215 Central Ave, Johnstown, PA 15902).
