He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur F. Himes and Vera M. Himes (Abler); his former wife Jacklyn V. Himes (Muscarella); and his brothers, Gary, Dennis and Francis.
He is survived by: his wife Dana J. Himes (Wingard); his children, Barry D. Himes Jr. (Lori), Carrie A. Restivo (Donald) and John F. Himes (Lori) of Harrisburg, PA; his grandchildren, Michael Restivo, Andrew Restivo (Kierstan Warshel), Kyler Himes (Abby Morosco), Jacklyn Himes, Samantha Himes, Korie Himes (Todd Crum) and Kara Himes; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Everlee, Oliver and Cayden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
