He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert M. Gilchrist and Helen A. Gilchrist (Yost); his brother Lance R.; and his pet Abby. He is survived by: his wife Julia (Yuhas); his daughter Amanda (Whitney Menarcheck) of Pittsburgh; his pet Ziggy; his brothers, Keith D. and Duane B.; and his nephew Keane of Wisconsin.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John Henderson Company Funeral Home (215 Central Ave, Johnstown, PA 15902). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (600 Ash St, Johnstown, PA 15902).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Family House (Pittsburgh) in his honor.
