With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Blackner of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Kurtz and Anna Kurtz (Kohan); her son Eric Blackner; her former husband Derry "Bee" Blackner; and her sister-in-law Lorraine Kurtz.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Blackner and Cherie Verdenburgh (Glen); her granddaughter Georganna Johnson (Jarrad); her daughter Autumn Verdenburgh (Dalton Galassi); her great grandchildren, Na'Ryiah, Naomi and Judah Johnson; her brothers, Richard Kurtz and Robert Kurtz (Kathy); and her goddaughters, Barb Ward, Violet and Veronica Ardary. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
