She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Johncola and Leoda Johncola (Nelson); her brother Nunzio T. Johncola; her sister-in-law Lois Devorick (James Devorick); her parents-in-law, John P. and Leah Hanson (Evans); her sons, Timothy and Rick Hanson; her son-in-law John "Basil" Varga; her grandson Luke Hanson; and her aunt Frances Custer (Johncola).
She is survived by: her children, Karen Varga and Randy Hanson (Candace); her sister-in-law Nancy Johncola (Arcuri) of Johnstown; her grandchildren, Michael, Leah Varga of Pittsburgh, Nick Hanson, Anthony, Dominic Hanson, Catherine Hanson-Bennett, Madison and Hunter of Johnstown; her close friends, Mildred (Eppolito), Dave Alveres of Johnstown, Carol (Suver) and Bob Bumbera of New Jersey; her cousin Mary Voegtly (Johncola); and also Louette Hanson of Heilwood. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to C.O.R.E. or to The Peniel Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in memory of Kay Hanson.
