He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Himlin and Alice Irene Himlin (Mallory); his former wife Rebecca (Lees); his son Justin; his daughter-in-law Kimi; and his sister Mary (Petro).

He is survived by: his sons, Aaron and David Jr. (Christine); his grandchildren, Paige, Josh Mcclelland, Allison, Tyler and Emma Himlin; his great grandchildren, Maverick, Aven and Arla; his stepgrandchildren, Madalyn, Samantha, Lia, Hailey, Amaya and Shaun; and his siblings-in-law, James Petro and Jenifer.
