It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Ruth McKeel of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 29, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Valentine Blaine and Nellie Mae Teeter (Daughenbaugh); her husband Carl W. McKeel; her son-in-law Gary K. Hoover; and her siblings, Marlin Teeter Sr., Elda Beistel, Margaret Nealen and Mildred Reitler.
She is survived by: her children, James W. McKeel (Harriet) of Belsano, PA, Carol M. Hoover-Oldham (Alan) and Candace D. Elam (Jedidiah) of Friedens, PA; and her grandchildren, Jason McKeel, Justin McKeel (Lisa), Monica Niel, Jacqueline Saylor, Adrianne Stouffer (Lawrence), Lydia Vassas (Elliott) and Eli Gibson. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests contributions be directed to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Doris.
