It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Spampinato of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Lugar (Mateljan) and Joseph Lugar; her husband Donald; her siblings, Joseph Lugar, Helen Pohlit, Bernard Lugar, Leona Mock and Donna Rupert; her nieces, Suzie Rupert and Kathy Pohlit Flaherty; and her nephew David Pohlit.
She is survived by: her daughter Marianne; and her pet Galla.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Betty's memory, the family suggests memorial masses or donations to local food pantries and veterans support organizations, her favorite charities.
