In loving memory of Elsie Anita Scherer of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on December 5, 2025 at the age of 91. Elsie leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Manyer and Bella Manyer (Rodgers); and her husband Clyde. She is survived by: her son Thomas; her stepmother Edith; her siblings, Bill and Betty; her stepsisters, Mildred, Lillian, June and Arlene; and her children, Deborah (Joe Neisner), Michael Scherer, Margaret "Peggy" (Ron Bimeal), Arlene Grubusnik, Bobbi Boring, Donna Shirt and Dawn (William "Eric" Pringle). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great – grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home (734 Bedford St, Johnstown, PA 15902). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
