She is survived by: her sons, Sylvester, Charles Scaletta (Christine Rosko) and Richard Scaletta (Judith); her grandsons, Brian (Lori), Anthony and Nicholas (Kate); her great grandchildren, Adelyn and Nora Scaletta; her daughter-in-law Edie Scaletta; and her close friend Colleen Brooks. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“I knew Eva and her wonderful husband from church. We would volunteer at the church's fish fries and spaghetti dinners. Both Eva and her husband made a profound impact on my life. They were always so welcoming and fun to be around. It was always so special to see them at church. When I was a student at Bishop McCort they let me park at their house instead of paying for renting a spot at the school, they never asked me for a dime. They were great people.”
