It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Salata of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Salata (Yanko) and John Salata; his former wife Katherine Salata; his wife Ann M. (Bank); and his sister Helen Lehman.
He is survived by: his daughter Rosanne Cotchen (Bob); his grandchildren, Maria Korns (Jason) and Anthony J. Cotchen (Grace Rotar); his great grandchildren, Victoria Rae and Charles Aveni Korns; his nieces, Mary Ann Kucenski, Carol Bell and Mary Stright (John); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jeana of Virginia, Ashley of Virginia and Aimee Stright of Virginia; his nephew Vincent Corica (DeLynn); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Angel (Patrick) of Georgia, Nicole (Josh) of Georgia, MariClaire (JT) of Georgia and Camille of Georgia.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Frank Duca Funeral Home-Westmont (1622 Menoher Blvd, Johnstown, PA 15905). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (124 Maple Ave, Johnstown, PA 15901).
