She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lepter and Amelia Lepter (Skasko); her siblings, John A. Lepter, Margaret Winters, Amelia Shaulis, Michael Lepter, Irene Wetzel, Henry Lepter, Mary Louise Brown and Walter Lepter; and her sister-in-law Betty Stine.
She is survived by: her husband Rudolph O. Steinbring; her children, Pamela Swansboro (Marc Lokesak), David (Antoinette) and Michele Schugt; her grandsons, Ryan Schugt (Dominique), Jared A. Swansboro (Brooke Henshaw) and Brett Schugt (Cassidy Moyer); her siblings, Shirley Stahl and Richard Lepter; and her brother-in-law Ronald Steinbring. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. The family asks, per Gertrude's request, in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to Zion Lutheran, Church, at 613 Locust St. Johnstown, PA 15901.
