She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Rodkey and Rose Rodkey (Murphy); her husband Edgar Smith; her son David; and her siblings, Richard (Louise), Lester (Melvina), Carl (Marguerite), James, Robert and Dorothy Witmyer (Harold).

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Heather Oravecz (Tom), Justin Mock, Jessica Cox (Wess), Garrett Smith (Amanda), Sheena Straw (Chad), Rachelle Thomas (Brian) and Nicole Thomas (Josh). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
