He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stephenson and Betty Jane Stephenson (Rolley); his father-in-law James Chamer Sr.; his brother-in-law James Chamer Jr.; and his nephew Devan Stephenson.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginger" (Chamer); his children, Jen Bell (Gary "J. R.") and Josh; his granddaughter Sarah Rose Bell; his brother Bill Stephenson (Barb); his brother-in-law Leo Chamer (Cindy); his mother-in-law Mary Chamer; his nephew Chris Stephenson; and his pets, Stella and Willy. He is also survived by many family members, friends.
