James Craik Dewar Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2025, at the age of 88, James Craik Dewar (Johnstown, Pennsylvania) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Craik Dewar to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dewar and Irene Dewar; his siblings, Georgia Mathews and Jack Dewar; his daughter Dorinda Ann Dewar Clark; and his grandson Cory James Cregan.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Dewar; his children, Dr. James C. Dewar, Jr. (Stephanie) of Indian Lake, PA and Laura Lynn Dewar Cregan (Kevin) of Goldsboro, NC; his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Helen), Katherine (Jeffrey), Andrew Dewar, Dr. Devin (Hannah), Riley, Brianne Cregan, Oakes Salancy and Khalen Clark; his great grandchildren, Miles Matthew and Jean Louise Dewar-Reamer; his cousins, Don Campbell (MaryLou), Bonnie Blank (Dave) and Jack Campbell (Janice); his siblings-in-law, Ilona Dewar, Edward Mathews and Edward Trosch; his sibling's children, Patrick (Jennifer), Ryan Trosch (Danielle), Sarah Roccograndi (Robert), Jennie Bailey (Bruce), Sheri Phillips (Paul) and Deena Mathews; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cailey, Stella, Connor, Landon and Ryan Jr.. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westmont Presbyterian Church (601 Luzerne St, Johnstown, PA 15905). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Mr. Dewar to either the Towering Titans Organization Westminster College to the Director of Athletics Jason Lener at (724) 946-7313 or e-mail at [email protected] the Music Program/Organ Fund at Westmont Presbyterian Church, 601 Luzerne St., Johnstown PA.
