He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sr. Piro and Mary Piro (Distefano); and his sister Rosemary Altimore (Piro). He is survived by: his wife Lucille (DeMaio); his children, Maria of Somerset and James V. III; his granddaughter Cianna James; his brothers, Anthony (Mary Rita) and Francis (Donna); and his brother-in-law Ernest Altimore. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frank Duca Funeral Home-Westmont (1622 Menoher Blvd, Johnstown, PA 15905). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish.
