He was predeceased by: his parents, James V., Sr. and Dorothy V. Chicarell (Miller); his sons, Vincent S. and Ted Hogue; and his sisters, Lucille M. Bowen and Madalyn L. Kovalchik.
He is survived by: his wife Bernetta D. Chicarell (Rose); his children, James, Patricia (Shaffer), Dianna (Charles Hanik) and Gregory; his stepchildren, Cindy (John Molton), James Hogue, Karen (Shrefler) and Patrick Hogue; and his grandchildren, Heidi, Brian, David, Jamie, Cathy, Charles, Tom, Sam, Jake, Christopher, Patrick, Daniel, Keith, Kristin and Amanda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hindman Funeral Home (1521 Frankstown Rd, Johnstown, PA 15902). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Hindman Funeral Homes (1521 Frankstown Rd, Johnstown, PA 15902).
