She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Stoffel and Edna L. Stoffel (Ringel); and her husband Boyd M. Akers Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey B. Akers (Mary), Garry R. Akers (Brenda), Lewis Run, Cheryl J. Volocko (Randy) and Cynthia L. Kohut (Barry) of Auburn, GA; and her brothers, Richard and Albert Stoffel. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
