He was predeceased by: his father John Smay. He is survived by: his son James Smay; his sibling Nichelle (Mike Moates); his stepchildren, Tom and Kim Foreman; and his grandsons, Brett and Jarid Williams. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
