Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maryann Glista (Merso) and Stanley Michael Glista; and his parents-in-law, David R. Somerville and Kathy R. Somerville. He is survived by: his wife Susan Glista (Somerville); and his sisters, Mary (Paul Knepper Sr.) of Mineral Point and Carol Brancato of East Taylor. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Gualbert Cathedral (117 Clinton St, Johnstown, PA 15901).
