She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert and Mary C. Klaum (Comisky); her husband Carl J. Motter, Jr.; and her brothers, Terry Klaum and Alan Klaum.

She is survived by: her children, Carlene Motter, Missi Snyder (Denny) of Westminster, MD and Scott (Janice) of Eldersburg, MD.; and her grandchildren, Shannon, Erin, Mason, Emma and Cole.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Benedict in Joyce's honor.
