Katheleen Mikesic Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katheleen Mikesic (Johnstown, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Katheleen was predeceased by: parents, Lloyd Ambrose and Rae Kathleen Wertz (Constable); son George Edward Mikesic III; great grandchildren, Dominic and Leonardo Lorenzo; grandparents, Ambrose, Cora Wertz (Howsare), Willard G and Bessie (Gray); and stepgrandmother Pauline Constable (Ickes).

Katheleen is survived by: husband George E. Mikesic; sons, Steven George (Peggy) and Richard John (Tanya); grandchildren, Stephane Rose Roberts (Korey), Samantha Rose Lorenzo (Michael Novak), Jessica Katheleen, Jenna Marie, Tara Christine and Hanna Nichole Mikesic; great grandchildren, Carter James, Cameron Richard Penn, Lucas Scott and Leia Rose Roberts; siblings, Barbara J. Coyle Higginbotham (James) and Michael W. Wertz (Karen); brother-in-law Edwin Mikesic; and close friends, Nova Trerorrov, Agnes Eppolitto and Nancy Bizjak. Katheleen is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the BVM Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude' Hospital.
