With sadness, we share the passing of Katie R. Beckner (Johnstown, Pennsylvania). Katie, born on April 8, 1981, passed away on September 26, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Katie R. Beckner to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Paul, Edith Ream, Chester, Thelma Sawyer and Betty Easterbrook; and her uncles, Joe "Chip" Ream, Joe Weber and Sam Brewer.
She is survived by: her parents, Dennis Sawyer and Janet Sawyer; her daughters, Kiera and Maeve Beckner; her siblings, Tom Sawyer (Beth) and Jodi Stratton (Jesse); her aunts and uncles, Shirley Ream, Loy (Sheila Sawyer), Peggy Weber, Carolyn Brewer, Joyce (Irvin Weber) and Ed (Debbie Carmack); her in-laws, Rex and Rhonda Beckner; and her pets, Athena and Socks.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harris Funeral Home (500 Cherry Ln, Johnstown, PA 15904). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elton Zion Methodist Church or the Laurel Highlands Chapter of Bible2School in memory of Katie.
