He was predeceased by: his parents, Kevin E. Yaste and Thelma F. Yaste (Gindlesperger); and his uncle Edward Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Brenda M. Yaste (Edwards); his son Ryan A. Yaste; his sister Karen (Nathan Appelgate); and his aunts, Marlene Gindlesperger and Lois Wilson.
