She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Ruffner and Henrietta Ruffner (Jack); her grandson John Anderson; and her siblings, Donald, Charles, Edward, John David and Mary Lou Sinclair.

She is survived by: her children, James Michael (Judy), John Patrick (Marilyn), Mary Kathryn (Carl Anderson), Donald Christopher and Nancy (Gary Cowan); her siblings-in-law, Audrey Ruffner, Elaine Ruffner and Thomas Hughes; and her husband Jack. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She crocheted mats for the homeless using plastic grocery bags as the material and made over 100 face masks for family, residents, and staff at the Lutheran Home.
