Mary Jane Dougherty Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2024, at the age of 90, Mary Jane Dougherty (Johnstown, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank and Frances (Ivancic); her husband John J. Dougherty of Patrick's Catholic Church; her grandsons, Devon Polasko and Cole Campbell; her siblings, Mildred Jereb, Frances Gacka, Dr. Rudy Ivancic and Andrew Ivancic; her siblings-in-law, Jeanie Ivancic (Rusin), Evelyn Ivancic (Probert), Bernard Gacka and Barney Jereb; her stepfather Michael Thomas; and her stepsiblings, Mike Thomas, Mollie Lotrich and Sylvia Delich.

She is survived by: her children, Michael (Danielle) of Conroe, TX, Anne (Thomas Zepka, Jr.) of Johnstown, Mark of Johnstown, Timothy of Johnstown, Kelly Johnstown (Ed Polasko, Jr.), Amy Dougherty, Shaun Johnstown (D'Arcy Duke) and Joy (George Campbell); her grandchildren, Erin Kovac, Wendy (Joe Meyer), Jennifer Zepka, Michelle Dougherty, Todd Dougherty (Alaina), Brandon Polasko (Julie), Seth Dougherty, Jordan Polasko (Sarah), Regan and Quinn Campbell; her great grandchildren, Collin Dougherty (Haven), Jalen, Skylar Kovac, Nolan, Hayes and Luke Meyer; her great great grandchildren, Silas and Jack Dougherty; and her brothers-in-law, Bob Riek and Frank Zeglin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mom suffered from Parkinson's Disease for many years, and we are eternally grateful for the loving care primarily given to her by our siblings, especially by her son, Mark, and daughter, Kelly, and her other children when called upon.
