He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy Janiga and Yuntz; his brother Thomas; his wife Jane Janiga (Mikula); and his siblings, Marilyn Janiga, Dorothy Dawson, Frederick Janiga, Barbara (Anthony Girlomi) and Stephanie (Stephen Miles). He was also cherished by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of Pete Janiga.
