He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Maurer and Mary Maurer (Pavlich); his wife Mary Kay (Burger); and his siblings, Joseph, Martin, Ronald, Agnes, Katherine Alt and Helen Pizzino.
He is survived by: his children, Mark of Johnstown, Lori of Johnstown, Geri (Lawrence Nath), Pamela (John Morgan) and Jeffrey (Valerie Deeds); his grandchildren, Jason, Vaun, Shane, Gary, Lillian, Joshua and Justin; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Brielle and Shane; and his sister Patricia Shortt.
