It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Bywater of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Raymond's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Raymond has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Bywater and Blanche Bywater (Hoffman); and his siblings, Donald, Robert, Mary Jane Layton and Letha Webb.
He is survived by: his wife Shelba (Hare); his daughter Michele (Robert Skutch); and his siblings, Shirley (Frank Urbassik) and Harold Bywater (Florence).
A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills (2503 Bedford St, Johnstown, PA 15904).
