It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Smith (Johnstown, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurmond E. Smith and Bernice Smith (Kirkwood). He is survived by: his children, Chelsie Smith and Marc Smith (Morgan Rossman); his granddaughter Harlow Smith; his brother David; and his close friend Jean Stanislawczyk. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
