He is survived by: his wife Loretta Sue Birchfield (Powers); his children, Vicki Bengeult (Greg) of Green Valley, AZ and Michael Birchfield (Susan) of Kingsville, MD; his stepdaughter Gwendolyn Stokes (Robert III) of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Mikie Birchfield and Maggie Stokes; his sister Judy Elgin of Bowie Md; and his felines, Sadie and Sophie.
