He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kushner and Mary Kushner (Sakmar); his wife Sara Jayne; his siblings, Jack, Barry Kushner, Jane Bell and Marion Kushner; his granddaughter Chelsea Freeburg; and his pet Suzie.

He is survived by: his children, Christine Kushner (Peter Coffman) of Ridgway and Todd Kushner (Dyanna Edwards East); his grandchildren, Jared, Alayna, Haley and Hannah Freeburg; his great grandchild Clyde Thomas of Ridgway; and his sister Donna Austin (Bernie) of Flower Mound, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
