He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mattes and Margaret Mattes (Baum); and his brother Kenneth Mattes. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Greg (Jennifer Stutzman) and Kelly; his grandchildren, Katie and Davy; and his sister Marcia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hindman Funeral Home (146 Chandler Ave, Johnstown, PA 15906). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Therese Church (536 Decker Ave, Johnstown, PA 15906).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Therese Church or the charity of your choice in his memory.
