He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Mihalik and Margaret Mihalik (Bartko); his wife Martha Mihalik (Mindala); his siblings-in-law, Michael and Helen Mindala (Bartko); and his brothers, Steve, John, Gustave, Coleman, Frank and Edward Mihalik.

He is survived by: his daughter Donna Mihalik; his son-in-law John Hurley of Rochester, NY; his son Mark Mihalik (Johnstown); and his grandsons, Alec Hurley of Cardiff, UK and Ethan Hurley of Pittsburgh, PA.
