He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Kautz and Elsie Kautz (Simmons); his siblings, Albert and Lois Connelly; and his former wife Arda Mae Lohr.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Botteicher Kautz (Gillin); his children, Vicki Kautz and Charles A. II (Tonya Shultz); his stepsons, Gerald Botteicher (Krysi), Eric Botteicher (Chris) and Matt (Denise); his grandchildren, Josh (Candace), Shawna, DeMichael, Amber, Ian, Bella, Brooke, Erick, Laila, Dominic, Owen and Vincent; his great grandchildren, Brantley and Kane; and his sisters, Barbara Keppler and Beverly Howard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Derby Global Methodist Church, Capital Improvement Fund, in his name.
