Sandra Rheel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Rheel of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 8, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank H. Whatmore and Lillian B. Whatmore (Harshberger); her husband Raymond S. Rheel; her great grandchild Theodore; her siblings, Frank Whatmore and Sarah Mihalaki; her parents-in-law, Anna Rheel and Lloyd Rheel; and her brothers-in-law, John Polacek and George Mihalaki.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Rheel (Emma), Anita Flanagan (Timothy), Richard Rheel (JoAnn), Melissa Botteicher (Kevin) and Roberta Stiles (Randy); her grandchildren, Dustin (Danielle), Brandon, Stella, James (Carla), Kellie (Krista), Martina, Kara, Brittany, Travis, Kyle (Ashley), Kiara and Kristin; and her close friends, Sandy, Janet, Irene, Rose, Ruth and Susie. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.
